ABOUT

Loosely founded in the early 20th-century, the Pink Acolyte Union (PAU) is a collective of individuals, mostly artists and scholars, who study and document the phenomenon known as the Rosenungetüm, more colloquially known as the Terrifying Pink Thing.

Portrait of Marco diGatti (1833-1926), author of the Rosa Codex and the first designated vassal of the Rosenungetüm, what we now designate the Pink Acolyte. The only image that remains of diGatti includes his ceremonial mask, an important accessory to active Acolytes from his death to today.

Our spiritual founder, Marco diGatti, was an Operating Mason and Fellowcraft working in the Cincinnati area. He first encountered the Rosenungetüm in the mid-19th century and would continue to channel its wisdom through a sudden interest in ceramic vessels and ritual performance.

After his death in 1926, some of diGatti’s closest friends and confidants formed what would eventually become the Pink Acolyte Union — a coed fraternity of parties interested in furthering concepts first penned by diGatti in his Rosa Codex. The manuscript was utilized for ceremonies, rituals, and general guidance on how to live one’s life in the total pursuit of liberty and altruism.

The PAU has experienced varying degrees of growth and depletion over the next century. Currently in recession, our new leader, Acolyte Endeeyoh, is excited and energized to grow our numbers again.
